MS
Impacts Us All: A Video about Multiple
Sclerosis
from the National MS Society
This fall, I will have the continued privilege
of participating in the National Multiple
Sclerosis City-to-Shore bike ride. Each
year, we change add to the family component
of our ride: having the support of my family,
my parents and their friends at the finish
line makes for a very memorable, emotional
and cathartic ride. I love that everyone
can see, firsthand, the thousands of people
volunteering, riding and showing their support
to fight MS.
To briefly recap our past 8 years of riding,
we have covered over 375 miles (which include
100 with Harry in tow and 25 with Charlie
in tow), and with the help of over 400 sponsors,
we have raised a phenomenal $54,000
in the fight against MS. I am continually
humbled by the generosity shown by our supporters,
but it is time for me to ask for your support
again in order to make this ride a success
- not only for me, but more importantly
for the 400,000+ Americans living with Multiple
Sclerosis.
Statistically,
another person is diagnosed with MS each
hour, and that rate is increasing among
women. Plus, more children and teenagers
are being diagnosed than ever before; tragically,
one child was diagnosed at age three.
The
National MS Society invests more money into
MS research than any other voluntary health
organization in the world. This investment
is paying off in significant advances in
treating MS, such as new medications, which
may reduce or delay future disability for
people with MS. Researchers are also making
advances in diagnosis, rehabilitation, and
symptomatic therapies for people with all
forms of MS.
Your tax-deductible donation can come in
the form of a check made payable to "The
National MS Society" mailed to me (782
North 38th Street, Allentown, PA 18104),
or you can earn reward points on your credit
card by donating
online here (additional
directions below).
Every
dollar gets us closer to a cure, and that's
why we continue ride.
Thank
you in advance for your encouragement and
support.

Iris, Harry & Charlie Epstein
